THE 14 STATIONS OF THE CROSS

Our hope for life after death for some form of new, of better, reflecting in Christ's path to Golgotha. When we walk the stations thinking about carrying a cross next to him and dying with him and wondering whether we would have the strength or fail like Peter. We are so often not willing to endure the light crosses we may carry daily in our realm of comfort. But he will know.

PROGRESS OF MAN

an illusion, there is no progress.

every generation starts afresh and cannot build on faintest progress made by the ones leaving.

love, hope and faith are overcome by greed, sloth, lust, gluttony, pride, anger and envy.

virtues make no lasting progress in their battle against sins. thus movement of man through time is but an endless repetition of life patterns – woven around our fight for our daily bread, our sometimes cocoons of a family which feeds a distant hope for a better next generation and the flame of love that may erupt for brief moments.
